The perfect workplace illustrated

Writer's picture: Antoana PetkovaAntoana Petkova

I really wanted to share the beautiful work of this artist, Ben the Illustrator. I often find inspiration in graphics and art, and Ben's geometric and vibrant pieces are so easy to interpret spatially. The piece I wanted to share is the Twitter questionnaire he did to find out what his followers identify like the ideal workplace. He asked, he heard and he illustrated it.

We often conduct similar questionnaires for our clients in the briefing phase of the design consultation to define the best approach. Here is what he found out and frankly, it is pretty close to the answers we get:

Not surprisingly, being in nature is key in many of the questions! As a designer, if I could change only one thing in an office to improve it, it will probably be to add more greenery. Research has repeatedly shown that the presence of office plants has a range of benefits including helping workers recover from demanding activities and lowering stress levels. As a bonus, there’s also evidence that plants can reduce office pollution levels.

One of my discoveries was that people don't really like having quotes on the walls. Perhaps because of WeWork, I've grown to accept their presence in a lot of workplaces.

The original post is here and be sure to check out his amazing prints.

What would your answers tot he questions above be?
